House Rules, Safety & Terms and Conditions of Stay

Bardiya Nature Lodge is located in and around a protected natural landscape. Wildlife movement, insects, natural sounds, uneven terrain, and changing weather conditions are part of the jungle experience.

By signing, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

  1. Nature & Wildlife Awareness
I understand that staying in a jungle environment involves natural conditions beyond human control. Wildlife behavior is unpredictable, and absolute safety cannot be guaranteed despite reasonable safety measures taken by the lodge and its staff.
  2. Compliance with Park Rules & Local Regulations
I agree to comply with all regulations set by Bardiya National Park, buffer zone authorities, local governing bodies, and lodge policies. Any activity that disturbs wildlife, damages natural habitats, removes natural or cultural resources, or violates park regulations is strictly prohibited.
  3. Authorized Activities Only
For safety and conservation, I will enter the jungle, river, or protected areas only with authorized guides and on approved routes and at approved times. Independent or unauthorized exploration is not permitted.
  4. Activities & Personal Responsibility
I voluntarily participate in lodge-organized activities, including but not limited to jungle walks, safaris, river activities, village tours, and cultural experiences. I agree to follow all safety instructions provided by lodge staff and guides and accept personal responsibility for my actions.
  5. Children & Dependent Supervision
Parents or legal guardians are fully responsible for the supervision and safety of children and dependents at all times during the stay and during activities.
  6. Health & Medical Disclosure
I confirm that I am medically fit to participate in activities offered by the lodge and have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations to lodge staff.
  7. Personal Belongings & Lodge Property
The lodge is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings. Guests may be held responsible for damage to lodge property caused by negligence or misuse.
  8. Respect for Community, Culture & Environment
I agree to respect local culture, traditions, community members, and the natural environment. A “leave no trace” approach is expected at all times.
  9. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
The lodge reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services without refund to any guest whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or in violation of lodge rules, safety instructions, or conservation guidelines.
  10. Limitation of Liability
The lodge, its owners, staff, and affiliated guides shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from natural conditions, wildlife behavior, weather, guest negligence, or failure to follow safety instructions or park regulations.
