Culture & Community
Hospitality That Begins At Home
Bardiya Nature Lodge is built on relationships—with people, traditions, and everyday life in the villages that surround us. Community is not something we support from a distance; it is something we are deeply part of.
Our team is made up primarily of local men and women from nearby villages. Through fair employment and hands-on training, we aim to create meaningful opportunities, helping them gain new skills, confidence, and a steady income while honoring their knowledge and experience.
We are committed to learning from and preserving local culture. From promoting traditional handicrafts and local delicacies to sharing stories, customs, and daily rhythms of village life, we invite guests to experience Bardiya beyond its landscapes.
Culture here is lived, not performed.
By collaborating with local guides, farmers, and artisans, we create experiences that feel genuine and grounded:
- Guided village walks
- Cultural storytelling sessions
- Local art and cooking workshops
These moments offer guests a deeper connection while ensuring that tourism benefits those who call this place home.
